For the New Oxford Dictionary of National Biography published
in September 2004, Angela has written the entries on William Michael
Rossetti and Lucy Madox Brown Rossetti. The life of William Michael
Rossetti was featured on-line as one of the ‘Lives of the Week’
(together with King Alfred and Britannia) during the first week
of publication. A genuinely modest man, he would have been amazed.
The Italian Cultural Institute in London hosted a conference on
the Rossetti family’s links between Italy and England on 5 November
2004. Angela contributed an illustrated talk: ‘William and Lucy:
Italy, England and Cosmopolitanism’. |
